v0.12.8

A more reliable way to prepare, store and retrieve basic PDF order confirmations. This update adds a protected archive of original confirmations, clearer document and email statuses, and improvements to PDF layout and guidance.

2026-10-22

Added

  • Commerce Assistant Free 0.12.8 strengthens order documentation for WooCommerce stores in Bosnia and Herzegovina. When the configured WooCommerce customer email is eligible to send, the plugin can prepare a basic order confirmation and preserve the original privately with integrity checks. Later changes to the order do not rewrite that original.

Improved

  • The order administration now makes a clearer distinction between a saved original and a current printout. Email submission statuses help merchants understand whether a document was prepared, submitted, or requires attention. A recorded mail submission is not proof that the message reached or was opened in the recipient's inbox.
  • This release also improves the PDF presentation of product codes, quantities, prices and fees; clarifies the seven-step setup and customer-email choices; and refines the shared WordPress administration in English, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian (Latin script).

Compatibility changes

Important for existing stores: An update from the same 0.12.7 plugin preserves existing settings and order records while adding two local archive/submission tables. Older orders without a saved original are not retrospectively assigned a new “original” PDF. Their current administrative printout remains a separate document. Free versus Pro: These Free changes do not turn on contract production, customizable PDF Template Studio, advanced external PDF fields or fiscal/ERP integrations. Such features require a separately installed, compatible, authorized Pro edition. Closing note: Commerce Assistant supports selected configuration reviews and document workflows. It does not provide legal advice, certify compliance or replace the merchant's responsibility for applicable rules.
