EAN/GTIN Manager
EAN/GTIN Manager compares the confirmed WooCommerce and PANTHEON identifiers by SKU, validates them and provides controlled reconciliation and correction workflows.
Configure the sources
Data Discovery identifies the native WooCommerce Global Unique ID and eligible custom meta candidates; no merchant-specific GTIN key is assumed. Select and confirm the Woo source. Select the PANTHEON GTIN table, SKU/link field and value field, then confirm and Lock the mapping. Both sides must be confirmed and locked before the manager runs.
Validation and comparison
The manager validates supported GTIN formats and check digits. UPC-A, EAN-13 and GTIN-14 values are normalized to canonical GTIN-14 for equivalence while the original text value and leading zeroes remain preserved. Result groups include Match, Missing PANTHEON, Woo EAN missing, Conflict, Missing both, Woo product not found, Woo EAN invalid, PANTHEON EAN invalid, PANTHEON multiple EAN and other unresolved states.
Review and correct
Use supplier/classification scope and result tabs to review each SKU. PANTHEON → Woo actions can fill or replace the configured Woo GTIN value after a targeted live PANTHEON re-read. Controlled Woo → PANTHEON actions are available only for eligible missing/conflict rows and never append an unchecked second identifier. Bulk actions apply only to selected eligible rows; every SKU is rechecked before writing and the result is audited.
CSV/XLSX export and import
Export the reconciliation as CSV or multi-sheet XLSX. Exports include status, SKU, product, supplier, classification, PANTHEON EAN, Woo EAN, Woo source, Woo product/type/parent identifiers and the result note. XLSX export requires the PHP ZipArchive extension.
For import, download the provided XLSX template or upload CSV/XLSX whose first two columns are SKU and EAN, with a maximum of 1,000 rows. EAN values are treated as text so leading zeroes are preserved. Run Import Dry Run first and review Ready, Already same, Conflict, Invalid, SKU not found and Duplicate in file results. Only rows marked Ready are eligible for the separately confirmed live action; rejected rows never create a write.
PANTHEON write safety
EAN/GTIN insert or update is the only supported PANTHEON master-data write. It requires an active commercial entitlement, the required capability and nonce, Go Live, Dry Run OFF, confirmed and locked mappings, a supported allowlisted adapter, a live re-read, duplicate/equivalent GTIN ownership protection, read-back verification and an audit trail. Unknown/custom GTIN storage may be used as a confirmed read/reconciliation source but does not automatically receive write capability.
