Privacy-safe diagnostics and troubleshooting
Commerce Assistant provides a Tools area for running the Audit again and exporting technical diagnostics that are designed to exclude sensitive customer and merchant content. These tools are useful when a setting appears inconsistent with the detected WooCommerce environment or when support needs evidence of a reproducible issue.
Run a fresh Audit
Go to Leanmerce → Commerce Assistant → Tools, select the Audit action, and review the grouped findings. If a finding points to the wrong WooCommerce page or a missing configuration, correct the real WooCommerce setting or merchant declaration in Setup and run it again.
If you cannot open Tools, ask the WordPress site administrator to verify your role. Shop Managers can be given the diagnostic capability without necessarily being allowed to modify the full merchant profile.
Export privacy-safe technical diagnostics
On the Tools page, select the Export raw diagnostics action. It creates a technical report covering selected environment facts, enabled identifiers for WooCommerce payment/shipping/customer email methods, setup configuration flags, source/check IDs and the Audit result.
The export deliberately excludes customer personal data, merchant-contact PII, document and Terms contents, secrets and license credentials. It is still an operational diagnostic file: review it before sharing and follow your organization’s own access-control and retention rules.
Do not use a full WordPress database export, real customer order, private PDF or wp-config.php to explain a routine Audit warning.
Common problems and safe recovery
WooCommerce dependency message. Verify that WooCommerce is active and meets the declared minimum version. Do not install unsupported versions simply to silence a notice.
A required field blocks the wizard. Read the inline field error and the summary; return to the relevant step. Use Save draft to preserve work where appropriate. Do not put placeholder registration details into production settings.
Terms page not connected. Check WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced, select a published and accessible Terms and Conditions page, then revisit Step 4 and re-run the Audit.
The Basic PDF preview does not show in the browser. Download the sample and inspect the file with a PDF reader. Some embedded PDF viewers may fail even when a valid PDF is generated. If the downloaded bytes are also invalid, capture the exact error without forwarding a real customer’s document.
Customer cannot download. Verify the module is enabled and the customer is signed in to the WooCommerce account authorized for the order. Sharing another customer’s document link must not be used as a workaround.
Missing WooCommerce email attachment. Check the chosen email in Step 6 and WooCommerce’s actual notification/SMTP configuration; the plugin only contributes an attachment when the selected email is dispatched.
Two Leanmerce menus / a menu collision. Confirm the installed versions of the relevant plugins and identify which code registered the parent. Do not uninstall another product or delete its data without a controlled diagnosis.
When to ask for help
Use the shared Leanmerce Support route. Provide plugin version 0.12.7, WordPress/WooCommerce/PHP versions, steps to reproduce, the category of finding and a sanitized diagnostics export. Remove any credentials or private links before sharing.
