What is Leanmerce Commerce Assistant?
Leanmerce Commerce Assistant is a Free WooCommerce plugin for store owners who want a guided way to review their distance-selling setup and provide customers with a straightforward PDF order confirmation. Its currently included legal ruleset is designed for merchants operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It is not a worldwide distance-selling compliance engine.
What the Free edition does
The plugin provides three connected workflows:
- Guided merchant setup. A seven-step wizard records the information and declarations supplied by the merchant and examines relevant WooCommerce configuration.
- Audit and follow-up. A grouped report identifies passed checks, items requiring attention and issues that must be corrected before the wizard can be marked complete. Where possible, each finding links directly to the relevant step or field.
- Basic PDF order confirmations. An optional document module generates a PDF based on a WooCommerce order. Authorized shop staff can open or print the confirmation, customers can download it from their own order view, and a selected eligible WooCommerce customer email can receive it as an attachment.
The Free edition has no Leanmerce license requirement. It does not need a Pro purchase to run its own features.
Supported business scope
The included BiH guidance recognizes merchant establishment in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, or Brčko District, where relevant functionality is implemented. The wizard also asks about product scope, seller/supplier relationships, cross-entity sales and customer-information practices. These declarations describe a store’s actual situation; they are not independently confirmed government registrations or a substitute for reviewing the rules applying to each transaction.
The plugin does not ship legal rulesets for other countries. A WooCommerce store targeting another jurisdiction should not treat the BiH Audit as proof that its local requirements have been met.
Know what the PDF means
The Basic PDF is an order confirmation. It is not a fiscal/tax receipt, a legal-compliance certificate, or a complete distance-sales contract. It does not replace the merchant’s applicable invoicing, fiscalization, contract, consumer-notice or record-keeping obligations.
Commerce Assistant checks merchant-supplied information and selected WooCommerce settings. It does not certify that a store is legally compliant.
Free vs Pro
Free 0.12.7 is publicly available through WordPress.org. Pro — Coming soon is a separately developed add-on; it is not publicly available for purchase or download and no launch date is promised. The Free functionality described here does not depend on Pro.
Where to begin
Install WooCommerce and Commerce Assistant, open WordPress Admin → Leanmerce → Commerce Assistant, then use the internal Setup tab. Work through the seven steps and run the Audit. Only enable Basic PDF delivery if you want these optional confirmations.
