Legal and document scope: what Free does and does not do

Leanmerce Commerce Assistant is a technical setup, review and order-confirmation tool. Its included legal-information checks currently address selected requirements for distance-selling merchants operating within the supported Bosnia and Herzegovina framework. The software does not issue an official certification or determine every legal obligation that applies to a specific business.

Supported geographic and ruleset coverage

The merchant establishment and certain confirmations in the wizard distinguish the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Brčko District, where implemented. The Audit may also highlight cross-entity/district sales for additional review. The presence of a jurisdiction selector does not mean all possible products, business models, legal statuses or cross-border scenarios are covered.

There is no built-in current legal ruleset for Croatia, Serbia or another country. Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and English language choices do not expand the ruleset to those markets.

What an Audit result means

A Passed result means that a defined technical or merchant-declared condition was met when checked. A Warning or Blocker identifies something to correct or examine. Some facts are derived from WooCommerce; others are supplied or affirmed by the merchant. The Audit does not independently verify every legal registration, policy, checkout statement or transaction.

A zero-blocker result permits wizard completion under the product’s rules. It does not certify the store as compliant with law. Different facts, later regulation, a new WooCommerce extension or a change in operations may alter what needs review.

Basic PDF is not a fiscal or contract document

The optional Free PDF is a Basic order confirmation assembled from WooCommerce order data. It is not:

  • a fiscal receipt or tax invoice;
  • a complete distance-sales contract;
  • a legally binding compliance certificate;
  • independent proof of payment, delivery or dispatch;
  • a replacement for merchant-specific customer information or records retention.

Merchants remain responsible for issuing any other documents actually required for their transactions and for choosing the appropriate contract/evidence workflow where necessary.

What Free does not automatically perform

Free does not create legal Terms text, inspect every product’s advertising claims, verify government registrations, send merchant data to a regulator, issue a fiscal document or automatically convert a selected WooCommerce order status into legal proof of contract formation. It does not connect to Leanmerce for mandatory license checks or telemetry.

Pro edition

Pro — Coming soon. Pro is a separate add-on under development, not a publicly available release. Planned features are not evidence that a particular capability is now available. Free’s listed functions are usable without Pro.

Practical next steps

Maintain accurate business identity/contact details; publish and review your WooCommerce Terms; check checkout, shipping and payment information; revisit Audit warnings; and use other suitable business processes for fiscal documents and legal records. Use the plugin as one practical review aid, not as your only source of legal guidance.
