What Free does and what you need

Free creates customer-facing availability by location for simple products and variations. WooCommerce remains the stock authority. Free does not map delivery methods, enforce checkout, track per-location quantities, reserve units, route orders, transfer stock or connect an ERP.

Use Free when the question is “where can a customer get this product?” Stop after Storefront display when the storefront result is correct; buying Pro is not a setup requirement.

Prerequisites: an administrator account, active WooCommerce, a current backup, and the compatible versions in Compatibility and versions. Use staging before changing a live catalogue.
