Balances and order lifecycle

Open Inventory > Inventory. Search product name/SKU, select a location, or filter In stock/Low stock/Out of stock. On Hand is physical count; Reserved is committed but not deducted; Available = On Hand − Reserved. Status uses the saved low-stock threshold; threshold does not change quantity.

Worked lifecycle for the example product:

1. Start at Online orders On Hand 4, Reserved 0, Available 4 and Warehouse 6 / 0 / 6. Add quantity 2, choose mapped Flat rate, complete the required checkout fields, and place the order.
2. Open the order in WooCommerce > Orders. Verify Leanmerce fulfillment: Online orders and the line-item fulfillment location online.
3. Cash on delivery moved the test order to Processing. The reservation was committed immediately: the reservation record became deducted, Online orders became On Hand 2 / Reserved 0 / Available 2, Warehouse stayed 6, and Woo aggregate became 8. WooCommerce’s aggregate deduction was suppressed for the managed line.
4. To test cancellation separately, change an unrefunded order to Cancelled and click Update. Cancellation restores the full committed but unfulfilled order quantity through the cancellation lifecycle; it is not a refund. Verify the reservation becomes restored, the original location and Woo aggregate return to their pre-order values, and no refund_restock movement is involved.
5. For a refund test, use a separate Processing order. Click Refund, enter the refunded line quantity, leave Restock refunded items selected, enter the refund amount/reason and complete the refund. Only that refunded quantity returns to the original fulfillment location. Repeat with Restock refunded items cleared and verify no Leanmerce quantity is restored.

When testing order and refund lifecycles, verify the routed location, reservation state, matching refund_restock Movement History row, and WooCommerce aggregate. Location backorders remain unsupported: checkout is blocked when no single allowed location can supply the complete package.
