Location lifecycle reference

Name and Description are customer-facing. Permanent key is the stable storage/integration identity. Active controls participation; Show on product page controls public visibility. Display order affects storefront order, not routing priority.

Ships orders and Customer pickup may coexist. Information only is exclusive and cannot fulfill an order. Inactive/archive retains assignments while removing the location from current use. Unarchive/reactivate restores use of retained assignments.

Free and Pro share the same Core locations. Pro adds checkout consequences and mapping/routing references; it does not create a duplicate location editor.
